Caravan Solution: Let Migrants Earn Asylum, Build the Southern Border Wall or Go Home
With the approaching object lesson in politicized humanitarian shaming soon to arrive at America’s midterm backdoor, an obvious and common sense, non-violent solution presents that is so simple, even a Democrat might understand. Maybe.
You might call it a win, win, win with the added bonus of watching leftist brains explode like snow globes thrown against a brick wall. America’s southern border wall, to be exact. Trump’s wall. And every inch, built by migrant caravan labor.
Short and sweet, it goes like this.
First comes a magnanimous Presidential announcement, bigger than life, welcoming the teeming migrant caravan with open arms and fast track asylum for a continental humanitarian emergency, pushed through in record time.
Simultaneously, an announced end to every dollar of foreign aid to nations in central and south America, with a less than subtle shout out to those that did nothing to stem the tide. Immediately. Irrevocably. Forever. NOW.
Next, pass an emergency supplemental national defense package expanding and fortifying border security manpower and construction with special stipulation, on condition of immediate deportation, that every single caravan migrant, in exchange for safe passage, spends the next three to five years as contract labor, completing the southern border wall. Same goes for any and all new arrivals during the life of the project. The choice is simple: Anyone who doesn’t want that job, digging holes, climbing ladders, tying steel, pouring cement and driving truck gets detained, processed and sent home. Call it an automatic sorting machine for prospective Americans who will work hard, stick to a job and complete a task. No one else need apply. The message is clear: Welcome to America. Now, go build our wall, or go home.”
The message is clear: ‘Welcome to America. Now, go build our wall or go home.”
Then, sit back and watch our 80,000 strong, desert heat acclimated workforce complete the project under time and under budget, with the added bonus of watching liberal brains melt down like a savory fondue as they realize that Trump succeeded in having not just Mexico, (as promised) but Guatemala, Honduras, Venezuela, the Catholic Church AND George Soros to help pay for the wall through recaptured foreign aid and subsidized transportation of donated labor. Thanks, George.
As an added touch, celebrate the finished project with a ribbon cutting reception and picnic complete with tacos and cold cervezas. Maybe invite Pope Francis, Mexican, Guatemalan and Honduran Presidents along with Beto O’Rourke, and Gavin Newsome to attend.
As an option, introduce them all to Kate Steinle’s parents and a few other folks who’d be there as memorialized special guests. Maybe offer a photo op.
Now, was that so hard?
Pass the salsa, por favor.
