–If the virus is a cold or “less deadly than the flu,” (as asserted by Ace and Gary, the California Doctor Duo,) Donald Trump rightfully deserves impeachment for economic incompetence. OR….he is responding to a bioweapons attack by China that kills 6-10% of all symptomatic cases and he needs smarter followers to stop playing into Democrat hands by making his response look stupid.
–To recoup massive losses from COVID outbreak and send China a bill for humanitarian suffering and damage to economy, Donald Trump doesn’t need to make them pay a single dime. All he has to do is suspend Chinese ownership of more than 500,000 production acres of American farmland and ban any such ownership in perpetuity, revoke ownership on the 15% of 284,000 corporate real estate properties sold to Chinese investors last year alone and ban controlling stock ownership in American corporations by Chinese firms. A forced selloff of all Chinese held meatpacking and food processing facilities on American soil seems long overdue. Lastly, an immediate cancellation of payment obligation on every last shred of U.S. treasury debt owned by Beijing (which they halted additional purchases of in 2017 anyway.) Call it even. Get out. Thanks for playing. Takeover canceled.
Or, sit back and watch as China adds to their American holdings in petroleum and agriculture, at pennies on the dollar in this deflated market.
