‘Creepy Porn Lawyer’ Avenatti Arrested for Domestic Assault
Trump harassing and persecuting attorney, Michael Avenatti, the man who represents porn star, Stormy Daniels in her national talk tour bashing the Commander-in-Chief was arrested Wednesday in Los Angeles on charges he assaulted his ex-wife during an altercation at her home.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the scene Wednesday after a woman called to report she had been assaulted. Officers took Avenatti into custody, placing him in the Los Angeles County jail where he remained until being released on $60,000 bond late Wednesday evening.
Witnesses say the former Mrs. Avenatti was seen leaving her apartment with redness and swelling on her face, wearing sunglasses and screaming, “I can’t believe you did this to me.”
Avenatti, who had ridden a wave of high profile legal wranglings against President Trump to national fame has quickly become a pariah figure of the liberal left, representing porn star and stripper Stormy Daniels in her losing defamation lawsuit against President Trump and then facilitating national exposure of at least one woman accusing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault and soliciting similar allegations from several more ‘accusers’ who declined to go public during Kavanaugh’s confirmation melodrama in October.
Avenatti represented Julie Swetnick, a California woman who claimed to have been a victim of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh while the two were classmates at Yale University. Swetnick has since retracted her story and along with Avenatti and three other Kavanaugh accusers, now faces potential criminal proceedings for perjury for lying to the U.S. Senate.
Recently, Avenatti has been back in the headlines after a recording of an altercation in a Virginia country club restaurant involving Fox News host Tucker Carlson in which Avenatti’s client is alleged to have called Carlson’s daughter a “whore,” and a “slut.” Carlson and Avenatti have long been at odds over the Trump presidency and Carlson’s references of Avenatti as a “creepy porn lawyer,” on his popular nightly news program.
